Astro 6408 is a two-part epoxy potting compound with excellent thermal cycling and thermal shock resistance. This system is designed to withstand high temperatures, exhibiting excellent mechanical strength and toughness for crack resistance.
Typical uses include encapsulating high voltage connections within large turbine generators, industrial electric motors, and hydroelectric generators; and in the manufacturing of high voltage bushings.
