Single Part
Astro 3147 is a room temperature curing, semi-conductive adhesive designed to dissipate static energy in high-voltage applications such as power generation, large industrial motors, transmission, distribution and energy storage systems. Widely used to protect high-voltage insulation in generators and motors, Astro 3147 is applied in small gaps between insulation surfaces and a ground source (such as a stator core). This ensures effective electrostatic grounding to prevent partial discharge (PD) and corona damage, even in high-stress, vibration-prone environments. Additionally, Astro 3147 dissipates similar energy frequencies, including radio waves on equipment and infrastructure.
With excellent adhesion and flexibility, this thixotropic silicone performs well in challenging environments, with an operational temperature range of -55°C to 175°C. Operator-friendly and non-toxic, it comes in a single-part system packaged in 300 ml cartridges, curing quickly at room temperature (tack-free in an hour).
