Fast Cure, Explosion-Proof, Flame Retardant Epoxy Encapsulant
Astro 6804 Liquid Epoxy Sealing Compound is a medium viscosity, two-component, flame-retardant sealant and encapsulant with a fast cure for quick return-to-service applications. This product’s medium, flowable viscosity allows for void-free encapsulation in applications requiring a complete seal.
Once cured, Astro 6804 is flame resistant, exceeding the 94V-0 criteria defined in UL94 (“Standard for Tests for Flammability of Plastic Materials for Parts in Devices and Appliances”), and is certified to UL 2225 for use in specific, high explosion-risk-applications. This epoxy system offers excellent multi-substrate adhesion, minimal shrinkage, and robust chemical resistance.
Astro 6804 is formulated to be easy to use in field-service applications. In addition to its quick cure, it is available in pre-measured kits or flexible burst pouches for easy mixing and dispensing, and does not contain any volatile organic compounds (0-VOC).
